The United for Literacy Website is an information and communications service (the “Website”). Access and use of this Website is governed by the terms and conditions provided below in the User Agreement. Please read the User Agreement carefully.

The Website is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. This User Agreement is subject to change without notice. United for Literacy makes no warranties or representations that the Website, including its content, information, products or services or other material available through the Website, will be provided on an uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free basis.

Under no circumstances will United for Literacy be liable for any damages relating directly or indirectly to any action or inaction based on the content, information, products or services or other material available through the Website. United for Literacy  will not be responsible for any damages or losses related to, the accuracy, currency or completeness of the content, information, products or services or other material obtained through the Website.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless United for Literacy, its affiliates, its governing board, officers, agents, employees, partners, funders and suppliers from any liabilities, losses, claims, demands, and expenses (including reasonable lawyer’s fees) related to (a) your use of the Website; or (b) violations of these Terms of Use.

United for Literacy owns all rights, including all copyright, in the entire content of the Website. Unless otherwise indicated, no right, title or interest is granted in the content, information, products or services or other materials available through the Website.

United for Literacy’s logo, and “United for Literacy” are all trademarks used by United for Literacy under licence.

The names of all other products and services mentioned on United for Literacy's Website are the trademarks or trade-names of their respective owners.

The display of trademarks or trade-names on this Website does not convey or create any licence or other rights in these marks or names.

You may not use United for Literacy's trademarks without the prior written consent of United for Literacy.

Limited Use

United for Literacy grants you a limited licence to download and display on your computer monitor, or hard copy prints, the Website’s content, for non-commercial, personal or educational purposes only, providing that the Website content is not modified and that the Website’s copyright statement and this limited licence are included with, and displayed on, each printed copy of such content. The following limitations apply to the use of the Website:

Termination

United for Literacy may at its sole discretion, with or without notice, suspend or terminate your use of the Website for any reason, including a violation of the terms of the User Agreement. United for Literacy may also prevent you from further use of the Website. United for Literacy will not be liable for any suspension, termination or prohibition of future access.

Governing Law

This User Agreement is governed by the law of the province of Ontario and the laws of Canada.
