Who are we?

We are United for Literacy

Each day, we transform lives and strengthen communities through literacy.

United for Literacy, formerly known as Frontier College, is a national charitable literacy organization. We believe literacy is a right. We work with volunteers and community partners to give people the skills and confidence they need to reach their potential.

United for Literacy believes in literacy for all people.

That’s why we promote reading, writing, and math for individuals of all ages, as well as more advanced skills like financial literacy and digital literacy. Reading breaks down barriers and opens up the world to ideas and opportunities. Our programs target each learner’s needs, interests, and goals.
