Thank you to everyone who joined us for Game Night 2026!
On Thursday, March 12, friends, colleagues, and community members came together at the Arcadian Loft for an evening where fun met philanthropy—playing games, winning prizes, and supporting vital literacy programs across Canada.
A special thank you to our incredible official host, Joe Canavan, whose energy helped make the night so memorable. We’re also grateful to Ekta Mendhi, Vice President – Media Production and Hospitality at CIBC, for speaking on behalf of CIBC, our Presenting Sponsor, and to Ron Landry, Vice President, Head of Segment Solutions and Canadian ETF Services, Relationship Management at CIBC Mellon, for presenting the Learner Achievement Award.
We would also like to recognize our amazing Game Night committee members whose dedication made this event possible: Pat Dunwoody, Ozy Camacho, Christina Ashmore, Nancy Nigh, James Stares, Matthew Latimer, George Salac, and Thanuja Sangary. Thank you as well to John Chew, our scorekeeper for the games.
A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors and supporters, including CIBC, CIBC Mellon, Blakes, Torys LLP, Bridgehouse Asset Managers, CIRO, Fundata, Aviso, CDW, Hamilton ETFs, Mawer, Everpure, Fundserv, Cboe, Palo Alto Networks, Netskope, Penguin Random House Canada, and the many organizations who supported the event through sponsorship and in-kind contributions.
Every game played helps support United for Literacy programs that empower people of all ages with the literacy skills they need to thrive.
