After-School Program in North Bay

• Reading Circle (Virtual) - Grades 4-6, 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. 
  • Mondays starting February 2nd until March 30th.
  • Have your learner explore their love for reading and writing through our structured program that puts fun at the forefront of their learning. 
• Coding 4 Kids (Virtual) - Grades 4-6, 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
  • Tuesdays starting February 3rd until March 31st.
  • Join us in interactive lessons where students will create their own projects using the Scratch coding app, used by many educators.
• Reading Buddies (In-Person) - Grades 1-4, 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
  • Wednesdays starting February 4th until April 1st.
  • Engaging learners in guided reading activities to develop comprehension and fluency.
• WhizKids (In-Person) - Grades 4-6, 6 pm to 7 pm.
  • Wednesdays starting February 4th until April 1st.
  • Engaging learners through games and activities to challenge their math and literacy skills.
• Number Ninjas (Virtual) - Grades 1-3, 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Kassandra has been a dedicated member of United for Literacy for four years, providing the North Bay community with a strong and consistent presence through a variety of impactful programs. She leads a team of Program Leaders and volunteer tutors, fostering collaboration through regular meetings, and training. Working closely with her team, Kassandra delivers engaging in-person and virtual literacy programs in partnership with local organizations such as the North Bay Public Library. Kassandra plays a key role in program planning, recruitment, and communications, ensuring that learners, guardians, and community partners are well supported.
