The opportunity 

United for Literacy is seeking a Camp Coordinator to oversee Summer Literacy Camps across Inuit Nunangat, specifically Nunavik, Nunavut and Nunatsiavut.  

Each summer, United for Literacy works in partnership with over 20 communities throughout the region to deliver Summer Literacy Camps. These camps welcome children aged 5 – 12 to participate in their local community program at no cost to families. The initiative aims to foster a lifelong love of reding, build learner confidence and prevent summer learning loss. The program is grounded in community collaboration, consultation, and respect for local knowledge and traditions.   

Working closely with our Program Manager, the Camp Coordinator will be responsible for the overall coordination of the program, including building and maintaining community relationships, managing and supervising staff, delivering training and support and overseeing data collection and reporting.  

The successful candidate will work from a home office however travel to training is required.
